  • What are the Overdraft charges?

    UBL UK does not offer Arranged Overdrafts.

    If a transaction on your Account places it into an unapproved overdraft, you will be charged an unapproved overdraft fee of £50 for each transaction that you make on your Account, and the debt balance will be subject to unapproved interest charges of UBL UK Base Rate + 8%.

    Representative example:

    If you use an unapproved overdraft of £1,000 for 7 days, we will charge you an unapproved overdraft arrangement fee of £50 and daily interest of 11.5% of the debt balance calculated daily and charged monthly. The total fees due at the end of this 7 day period would be: £50 Arrangement Fee, £2.09 Interest.

    All overdraft outstanding amounts and fees are repayable on demand.

  • Is UBL UK a member of the Current Account Switch Guarantee?

    UBL UK is not a member of the Current Account Switch Guarantee.

  • How do I open and manage my Account

    Eligibility:

    You must;

    • Individual applicants should be aged 18 or over
    • The business should be Sole Proprietors, Partnerships, Trusts or Private Limited Companies

    Minimum/Maximum Balance:

    • There is no minimum balance

    To apply for the account, you will need to Download the Application Form, complete and then return it along with verified copies of the documents mentioned in the application form:

    • Secure Message: when registered for internet and mobile banking, you can send secure messages directly to our team to maintain your account and give UBL UK instructions.
    • In branch: Visit our London Branch, Monday to Friday between 9:30 am and 4 pm
    • In writing: By post, sending instructions to FREEPOST: RUEE-STYR-XYKE, UBL UK, 2 Brook Street, London W1S 1BQ (all written instructions must be countersigned and dated by all named Account holders)
